Announcement : New Resource Center

As part of our commitment to providing the community with the latest, most up-to-date HIV information possible, the Being Alive's Board of Directors approved plans in April to create an improved reference center.

The new Resource Center will provide the latest, most comprehensive information available about HIV testing, programs and treatment options.

Being Alive welcomes the partnership of our community leaders at Serono Labs, Agouron Pharmaceuticals, Abbott Labs and Priority Pharmacy in the creation of the new Resource Center. Look for the opening date in the coming months.

Literature and Materials Available

Each Being Alive San Diego Site has a library of HIV related books, publications and videos. These materials may include:

• Medical and research information
• HIV testing, programs & treatment options.
• Medical history
• Personal stories
• Nutritional and cooking books
• Lifestyle education
• Psychology
• Social education
• Information on Local Services & Resources
• Children's books
• Reading room

There may be other books and videos of general, recreational benefit. These materials may be checked out by clients for set time periods.
